We specialize in local authors, local history and small independent publishers at Ekahni Books- find those hard to get local books right here in Manzanita on the gorgeous Oregon Coast.  In addition, find an eclectic assortment of new and used books from every walk of life: art, architecture, cooking, writing, film, fiction, paperbacks and children’s books.

• About Us- this page talks about the history behind Ekahni Books, the types of books and art we sell, our commitment to green and sustainable practices, and our focus on excellent customer service.

• Featured Books- this page contains book reviews for not only our “Book of the Month” books, but also for the regular book reviews that were previously featured on “Sherry’s Blurbing Book Blog”- a site that Sherry ran long before she knew she was going to own a bookstore!  If you are looking for a fair, unbiased review of a book from someone who really doesn’t care if something is a best seller so much as she does whether or not it’s a good book, this is a page to bookmark and return to often!

• Events Calendar- do you have a local event you would like folks to know about?  Let us know and we will put it on our calendar!  It doesn’t have to be book or writing related, we are just interested in supporting our community by providing a clearinghouse for information about happenings in the Nehalem Bay area!

• Our Location- this is a cool, live Google map that you can type your address into, then scroll down and get turn by turn directions for how to get to our shop. You can also zoom in and out, change to satellite view and other neat things.  Check it out!

• Book Buying Policy- this is a page dedicated to talking about our book buying policy.  We buy gently used books from folks all over the Pacific Northwest.  If you have books you no longer need, don’t throw them in a landfill!  Remember- reduce, reuse, recycle!!  There is someone out there that would love to have your book, and we want to help them find it!  Plus, you can get store credit and sometimes cash for your books… it’s a win-win!
